Maxi Arepa
If you're cruising through Katy, Texas and craving something bold, flavorful, and totally satisfying, Maxi Arepa is the place to check out. Tucked right off the Katy Freeway at 24811 Katy Fwy Ste 500, this local gem brings the taste of Venezuela straight to your plate.
From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm and welcoming. It’s not just about grabbing a quick bite—it’s about the experience. The menu? Packed with flavor. One of the crowd favorites is the Parrilla Mixta, a sizzling platter loaded with perfectly grilled meats that'll make any carnivore happy. If you're into something sweet and cheesy, the Cachapa—a corn pancake stuffed with gooey cheese—is a total must-try.
What really sets Maxi Arepa apart, though, is its commitment to authenticity. You’re not just getting food here—you’re getting a taste of Venezuelan street eats, made with heart and heritage. The Pepito, for example, is a popular sandwich that layers steak, chicken, or sausage with sauces and toppings that hit every note from smoky to savory.
And let’s not forget the Plátano—sweet plantains that are soft, caramelized, and downright addictive. They pair perfectly with just about anything on the menu, especially if you're building your own arepa or diving into a combo plate.
Maxi Arepa is the kind of spot you stumble into once and end up coming back to regularly. Whether you’re new to Venezuelan cuisine or already a fan, it’s got that “just one more bite” kind of magic. It's casual, it's delicious, and it's full of soul.

Been coming here for almost 5 years now and it's always 10/10. The flavor never fails, the service is great and quick. The ambiance feels like home.
Good service, clean fries and burger, also free refills when you get one cup, I recommend this place 100%.
Driving around looking for some good food for dinner I found this place next to the gas station, they do a lot of Togo orders from what I see while I was there. Good food great service but they don't have everything that they offer in the menu, most of the items were out or not available at this place, according to the server she said that they never had those items available at this location but they are on the menu:) weird but yeah that's what she said. My arepas were amazing and the few more items that I ordered were the bomb, the sauces super delicious. I can wait to go back and see if they have more items on the menu to try. Please excuse my bad typing.
